Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has issued a desperate public plea to win back his ex fiancée Kate Moss.

The Babyshambles frontman says he has been largely frozen out by the supermodel, who has so far refused to see him since reports of his alleged infidelity emerged.

He said: "I can't get hold of her any other way. I need Kate to know that I still love her. She has broken my heart."

The recovering heroin addict labelled the model a "nasty old rag" who "kicked me in the head" in the account of their tempestuous on-off relationship, but insists that he can't live without her.

Pete's plea: the rocker has begged Kate Moss to take him back

He told the Daily Mirror: "Take me back. Kate if you love me then realise I don't want any other girl. I'm here to tell her that I love her."

He said Kate dumped him because of her "insane jealousy” after wrongly accusing him of cheating.

He revealed: "We fell out for the same old reason. She accused me of f****** this girl who lives around the corner.

Keeping cool: Kate is trying to move on after the split, according to friends

"She's got an awful temper. I grabbed my guitar and books and said 'I'm never going to be treated this way again'."

Friends say 33-year-old Kate is desperately missing Pete, 28, but is determined to move on.

After ending their tumultuous relationship, Kate called in removal men to get rid of all of Pete's possessions and has since changed the locks on her home.

Desperate: Pete, who has recently spent time in rehab, wants his girlfriend back

A pal said: "She is doing everything she can not to crack and weaken, though there are dark moments when she breaks down and really misses Pete."

She is also said to have burned love notes, poems and songs written by the musician, but she has struggled to keep her resolve.

According to Pete, she called him in a drunken state two days ago singing the Breakfast at Tiffany's classic Moon River.

The singer revealed Kate paid £3,000 for his recent rehab sessions and that she had kicked hard drugs completely after being photographed taking cocaine in 2005.

He said: "Everything is different this time postrehab. I've never been in a position before where I've actually made a record I can listen to and get off on.

"Kate was determined to sort her life out and has done. All she wants is to be a good mum for her kid."

Before the split, the couple had made plans to marry in November, on the condition that the rocker was drug free. See the hottest showbiz pictures of the day

She would be stupid to take him back after what he has done to her. Her and her young daughter are better off without him. She needs to move on and rebuild her life and reputation. Be strong Kate!

Oh please, get back together and then both go somewhere private so we don't have to listen to it.

You broke your own heart Pete.
