LA Galaxy fans are certainly making their disappointment clear about the injury keeping David Beckham off the pitch.

They held up "Wanted" posters of the star striker scrawled with "missing", "too scared" and "I lost".

Disgruntled: A fan makes his message clear

And there was no missing the banner "Bench it like Beckham", referring to the new signing's residence on the sidelines.

Another disguntled fan held up his handiwork: "Welcome to America where people like you get paid to do nothing."

Beckham, however, wasn't even on the bench for Galaxy's tie with FC Dallas in the SuperLiga, Group A, Final.

Posters: The theme is clear from the crowd

Spokesman Patrick Donnelly had already confirmed that the injured star would "not be travelling to Dallas".

Now the club - and the fans - will be hoping he is match fit to line up against Toronto FC.

Question mark: The fans are eager to know when their new signing will be able to play

So far he has only made it on to the pitch for the club as a late subsitute against Chelsea.

Beckham is receiving treatment daily for the injury, first suffered while playing for England on June 6.

And he hasn't even had the chance to really get to know his team-mates - having missed training sessions as well as two other SuperLiga games.

Although the wait for Beckham's full debut is frustrating for the fans, the club does not want to rush the former England captain who has signed a five-year contract potentially worth $250 million.

And at least one spectator is easily pleased - his home-made banner read "All I came for was to see Spice Girl."

Becks hasn't been a proper football player for a long time, he's too busy being the Posh&Becks team, not a member of a football club. Have fun having him there, we're sure as hell pleased to get rid of the couple, especially the plastic Barbie they call Victoria.

Actually as much as I don't see the value in Beckham here, the latest ratings show that MLS is pulling stronger and more steady ratings then hockey. Baseball and basketball are declining rapidly.

I'll give you NASCAR, though.

Can someone please tell me why he came here. No one here likes soccer. It is your guys sport which is just fine with us. It is not even the 5th top professional sport in the United States. 1) Football 2) Baseball 3) Basketball 4) Hockey 5)... NASCAR (maybe)

No one cares. He should go back to a country where people like it.

That is not to say that all of the immigrants do not like soccer, but they only care about soccer in their home countries. It is a nationalistic thing not a sport thing.
