Casual Betty: Actress America Ferrera, seen in Beverly Hills yesterday, looked a lot like her Ugly Betty character as she stepped out for lunch with friends

The morning after: America's red-carpet glow has diminished since her appearance at the SAG awards last weekend
Although Betty's usual attire is somewhat more colourful, America was seen out and about dressed down in jeans, and a huge black Betty-style poncho for the rendezvous with friends in West Hollywood.
The stylish about-turn came just 24 hours after her winning red-carpet look which she unveiled at the Screen Actors Guild awards.

America has revealed a political streak of late. She has been seen on the picket lines for the writer's strike, and has thrown her weight behind HIllary Clinton's presidential campaign, appearing at a rally with the former First Lady.
In a recently released statement she said: "I look forward to rallying young people to use their voices and get involved.
"I believe that Hillary Clinton can turn this country around."

She's a damn sight better looking au-natural than most other Hollywood actresses without their make-up on!

Oh come off it. She looks like a normal girl going out for breakfast after a big night. The girl is an actress, why can't we judge her on how well she plays a part, rather than what she looks like in her day to day life?
