Sarah Harding as you haven't seen her before: acting in bloody thriller

Updated 15:26pm on 9 Feb 2008

With a brown wig and bloody nose, this is Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding as you've never seen her, in a new thriller.

Pop star Sarah looks unrecognisable as she covers her blonde elfin crop for a performance in upcoming movie Bad Day.

The film marks Sarah's second on-screen outing after her cameo in the St Trinians movie last year - but this time she actually has to act.

Sarah, 26, plays Jade Jennings opposite former Casualty star Claire Goose in the low-budget movie, which was filmed in just two weeks in London.

Claire plays vigilante cop Rebecca Ryan, who goes a revenge rampage to find the killers of her daughter Lynn.

In one scene, Sarah looks quite the femme fatale as she smokes while dressed in a white macintosh in the back of a car.

The film also stars former Byker Grove actress Donna Air, who shows her tough side playing feisty police officer Abby Barrett.

Sarah made her big-screen debut in the St Trinian's remake alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts.

Recent reports claim Sarah and comedian Russell Brand have been lined up to star in a new Carry On movie.

Having just returned from a holiday in Thailand, Sarah is denying reports she is quitting the girl group to concentrating on an acting and presenting career.

She has been approached to present a new fashion show for ITV alongside Fearne Cotton and Peter Crouch's girlfriend Abbey Clancy.

Bad Day is set to premiere in Wandsworth, south London on February 18.

This film looks great I've known about it for a long time, you say it's screening in Wandsworth but give no more details than that. Could you please tell me where it's showing. I'm sure a lot of other people would like to know to.
