She adores The Magic Roundabout so much, she lent her voice to the 2005 animated feature.

Now it appears Kylie Minogue has taken style cues from one of its most loveable character, Dougal.

The pop star showed off a familiar blunt fringe and flat ironed tresses as she arrived at the Echo Music Prize in Berlin last week.

She turned heads in strapless green frock, and while she looked as youthful as ever, she revealed she's dreading her upcoming 40th birthday.

Kylie, who will ring in the occasion in May, plans to keep celebrations very low key, saying: "I don't want a huge party, I just want a few friends round. I mean, turning 40 isn't really something to celebrate, is it? I'd rather ignore it."

"I'm not looking forward to turning 40, but I guess I have to get excited about it,"

Although sources have linked Kylie to her ex-lover Olivier Martinez again in the last few weeks, she shunned romance to spend Valentine's Day with friends.

She said: �I'm boycotting it all, [because] what's the point because I've nobody special in my life at the moment.

"I will be celebrating with my girlfriend instead because it's her birthday... so not your traditional Valentine's Day."

Kylie is reportedly preparing to present Sir Paul McCartney with his Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the Brits on Wednesday night.
