Ugly rash on Amy Winehouse's face shows hard living has taken its toll

Updated 08:27am on 21 Feb 2008

She emerged from rehab earlier this month looking better than ever, but Amy Winehouse's troubles again appear to be taking a toll on her appearance.

She was spotted last night with what looked like scabby skin on her face and a series of long scratch marks on her arms after performing a secret gig at the Jazz After Dark in London's Soho.

Super producer and confidante Mark Ronson turned out to lend his support as well as her most recent inseparable companion, Blake Wood.

The long-haired photographic artist has been dubbed “Good Blake”, and was certainly making sure Amy stayed on the straight and narrow.

After the gig, which also included New Orleans singer Corliss Randall, Amy was escorted to her hotel by Ronson.

Despite today's reports that she was missing rehearsals for the Brits tonight, the 24-year-old managed to look confident as she took the stage for a solo show.

She also wore a necklace of football club Aston Villa.

It comes as Amy has moved out of her luxury Bow apartment in a bid to banish three months of hell.

The singer only moved into the swanky new pad in December, but her family has now shifted all of her stuff out - because she feels the flat holds nothing but bad memories.

Her world has been turned upside down in the past three months, with husband Blake Fielder-Civil being arrested for assault and perverting the course of justice, and Amy going into rehab.

And it all kicked off when she moved from her Camden flat into the rented apartment in Bow, which is part of an upmarket and secure gated development.

She waited until 4am to move her stuff from Camden into the new gaff at the start of December.

New companion: Amy was joined at the show by Blake Wood

The night before, she was pictured in a stupor wearing her red bra while wandering the streets in the middle of the night.

The night after she moved in, Pete Doherty turned up for an all night session. We were assured at the time that they were working on a new song together.

Just a few weeks later, Amy was arrested and quizzed over Blake, who is still awaiting trial in Pentonville Prison.

On her escape from Bow, our source said: “She moved a bit of her stuff out to take with her into rehab, but she hadn't planned on moving out then.

Support: producer Mark Ronson turned out to cheer on his friend Amy

“Since she's been in rehab she has been getting better and better, and realises that she doesn't want to go back to her place in Bow. It holds nothing but bad memories for her.

"Her family went in at the weekend to collect the rest of her stuff, and it is being stored at their place until she is back on her feet.

“She has decided to move out of the flat but she won't be moving out of London. She loves the city and, while her parents will not want her near the bad influences in Camden and east London, there's no way they can convince her to move away from the capital. It's just a case of finding somewhere where she and her family feel comfortable”

Amy is in being treated as an outpatient at the Capio Nightingale clinic in Marylebone, and is staying at a nearby hotel.

The pain and suffering in her eyes is really sad. Why is she so troubled?
I do hope this wonderful artist gets better and she takes herself truly away to a peaceful place with medical support and love and away from the big cities which destroy people!
