Top of the alcopops: The pictures that show how the Brits descended into a night of drunkenness
Last updated at 08:57am on 26.02.08If you thought that they looked bad before the Brit Awards started then these pictures of Britain's finest pop stars as the night wore on are even more shocking.
The most candid display of drunkenness came as Bianca Gascoigne, stepdaughter of former England footballer Paul, ended up in a heap in the gutter after being turned away from Kylie Minogue's party at Movida nightclub in the early hours of the morning.
The 21-year-old reality television star had to be propped up by friends outside and, after abusing security staff, was promptly marched on to Paper nightclub, where she was seen dancing on a chair in the VIP section.

Too much 'kiss and make-up' for Sarah Harding?
At the Universal Records party in Bayswater, Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding was seen being driven away looking clearly worse for wear, even sharing a kiss with a female companion before collapsing in the back of her car.
Take That singer Mark Owen, celebrating picking up Best Single and Best Live Act with the group at the awards in Earls Court, reportedly lost his award following a drunken argument with his girlfriend.
The cocktails of choice were mojitos and cosmopolitans and the main gripe was that the VIP room was just too small to contain all those big egos, including Take That, Girls Aloud, Jack Osbourne, Jason Donovan, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Kimberly Stewart.

In 2003 alcohol was banned by The Brits organisers in a bid to prevent bad behaviour, although the ban was dropped a year later after stars boycotted the event in protest.
This time round, bad behaviour was back as comedian Vic Reeves, who had clearly been enjoying the free flow of alcohol at the event, meandered up on to the stage only to forgot why he was there and what award he was to present.
He stumbled over his words before show host Sharon Osbourne grabbed the statuette from his hands and hissed: "P*** off you p***ed b*****d."
Reeves left the stage blurting out an offensive joke about Kylie Minogue.

Comedian Alan Carr arrived on stage, saying: "Sorry, I'm a bit p***ed - I put a straw in Amy Winehouse's beehive."
Complaints also flooded in about a dreadful performance from junkie singer Winehouse.
Despite having the audience on its feet, Miss Winehouse - fresh out of rehab - sang out of beat with Mark Ronson.
At the end, she yelled: "Make some noise for my husband Blake" - a reference to her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently languishing in jail facing assault and conspiracy charges.

If the role models for the youngsters of Britain set this as an example how can we ever expect an improvement in our children's behaviour. The media have to shoulder a lot of the blame. Pictures like these do not need to be published, likewise stories of Amy Winehouse's descent into drug hell could be kept out of the press, the use of phrases such as Celebrity Caner do nothing less than glamorise drunken fools, something that would have been shameful just 20 years ago. The more children are exposed to such imagery the more normal and acceptable it seems. The press are largely responsible for most shifts in attitude.
