Katie Holmes says goodbye to the Posh bob
Last updated at 12:14pm on 25.02.08Katie Holmes ditched the hairdo made famous by good friend Victoria Beckham, and sported a softer, less severe style on a day out in Hollywood with husband Tom Cruise yesterday.
The 29-year-old's resurrection of old Hollywood glamour continued at a lunch for the first annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood event, where she donned an understated check dress and towering Christian Laboutin heels.

The pair were lending their support to friends I Robot star Will Smith and wife Jade Pinkett-Smith, who was recognised at the event as “one of Hollywood's most versatile and gifted actresses”.
Katie's sleek outfit showcased her new, mature style and was set off perfectly with a pair of killer purple high heels - which placed her head-and-shoulders above husband Tom.

But it was her choice of hair style which attracted the most attention.
The former Dawon's Creek star has recently been pictured in a variety of understated outfits, including a slinky gun-metal grey gown embellished with crystals at the 10th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards.
But at last night's event, her hair was noticeably different from the cut which was inspired by Victoria Beckham.
