Love is in the air: Sienna and Rhys' sky high frolics

Updated 14:29pm on 28 Feb 2008

Sienna Miller and Rhys Ifans stunned fellow passengers on their flight from Los Angeles to London on Monday night with their high-spirited frolics.

The loved-up pair, who have been dating since August, couldn't keep their hands off each other on the 12-hour Virgin Atlantic overnight flight.

The couple flew to California last week to attend Saturday's Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, where Sienna was beaten to the Best Female Lead accolade by Juno actress Ellen Page.

Glint in her eye: Sienna Miller was back on the town in London last night after arriving from LA earlier that day

Despite having their own fold-out single beds, it seems the Welsh actor, 39, couldn't bear to be separated from his 26-year-old lover and hopped into her bed, according to the Daily Mirror.

While most of the First Class passengers attempted to sleep through the flight, the figgety pair were overheard laughing and kissing noisily.

Fellow celebrity passenger James McAvoy attempted to ignore the loud fumbling and engrossed himself in a game of Sudoku.

McAvoy and his actress wife Anne-Marie Duff had been in LA to attend the Oscars on Sunday night, where his movie Atonement was up for several awards.

Sienna interrupted the lustful moves of her boyfriend to watch the film Michael Clayton - which garnered Tilda Swinton a Best Supporting Oscar win on Sunday.

However, after only a brief time watching the movie, Sienna was soon preoccupied with lavishing affection on the Notting Hill star.

The couple's lust was soon put to an end when an air steward brought their meals of beef stroganoff and roast chicken.

Once their dinner arrived, Rhys was forced to return to his own seat and to contain himself.

At one point of the flight, Rhys realised he had misplaced a script he was reading and was horrified when he discovered a stewardess had mistaken it for rubbish.

When the hostess joked: "We should have put it on eBay," an annoyed Rhys was not amused.

He snapped back: "I don't think so."

After their arrival at Heathrow on Tuesday afternoon, the couple returned to their north London home to freshen up, and despite their jetlag, decided to go out partying in Soho.

The couple spent a few hours at the Groucho Club, before finally retiring home to get over their jetlag.

Despite his exhausting 48 hours, devoted boyfriend Rhys was up bright and early this morning to walk Sienna's dogs Porgy and Bess near their London home.
