The tour ground to a premature halt in the Canadian city, following reports the fivesome were at war again and had suffered flagging ticket sales.

An emotional Geri said: "I've just got to say, as you know, this is the last night of the tour and we never dreamt we'd ever back together and be such a success and who knows if we'll ever get back together again."

The Spice Girls closed the show with a rousing final performance of "Spice Up Your Life."

She said: "'I know if I want to cry, I'll go to Emma. If I want to get like a business or career strategy, I'll go to Geri.

She added: "I know if I want to look after myself, maintain my fitness, I'll go to Mel C. If I want to know about fashion, tweaking things to make them work for you, I'll go to Victoria."

"Who would have thought that our reunion could have turned out to be this amazing? It just shows what can grow out of an exciting thought, an idea, a hope, a dream. Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true.

"Ten years on, you came back still wanting more… and it looks like we made some new friends along the way. You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing and it is thanks to you.

But they then cryptically teased fans with lyrics from their song 'Goodbye': "Goodbye my friend, it's not the end...so glad we made it, time will never ever change it."

To the delight of the crowd, Cruz, wearing a "Posh Spice" T-shirt and red baseball cap, demonstrated his gutsy breakdance moves.

It was the three-year-old's latest command performance as an aspiring star.

She said she only wanted to show her three sons that "mummy was once a pop star." Yesterday she was seen promoting her dVb fashion line in a Toronto department store before last night's show.

I saw the girls in concert and they were absolutely fantastic. They sang really well, none of them are on drugs or have an alcohol problem - maybe that's why they are always put down by others! If you sell out 47 concerts you must be good. It was the best night of my life seeing them - and I'm in my 40s - GIRL POWER!
