Rihanna, who was briefly linked to actor Josh Hartnett last year, was later photographed kissing the 18-year-old in a swimming pool at the Hilton Kingston Hotel after travelling to Jamaica.

It's been a triumphant year for the performer - she scored her first Grammy and her single Umbrella was the longest-running British number one by a female artist since Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You.

Of her success, Rihanna has said: "I look at [my fans] and I still think, 'Why are you screaming for me?' I still think of myself as a normal girl."
