'I'm pregnant, and want a girl' says Minnie Driver - but she won't reveal who the father is
Last updated at 00:43am on 17.03.08Minnie Driver has confirmed that she is expecting her first child on a US chat show.
The British actress, 38, revealed her pregnancy in an interview last night on America's Tonight Show with Jay Leno and told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres she was hoping for a girl.
However, the Good Will Hunting star remained tight-lipped regarding the identity of the baby's father.

She told Leno that she wanted to keep the father private and away from the media glare, declining to reveal his name.
After appearing on Leno, the actress went on to tell chat show host Ellen DeGeneres about her biggest dilemma - what to name her baby.
Admitting she was hoping for a girl, the four months pregnant Driver said: "I have a pretty silly name. Driver is kind of a hard name to put with a first name, particularly boys names."
DeGeneres patted her bump and asked her if she was hoping for a girl.
"I'm hoping for a girl," she answered.
"I think it's a girl. Most of the women in my family get super girthy early on and I've got to say that's why I have this nice chiffon dress on. I'm fat".
Driver said she waited to reveal her pregnancy as she "isn't one for making announcements".
"I'm wearing red knickers. I'm also having a child, not really my thing. So I didn't say anything."
Driver admitted she was pregnant after Leno poked fun at her weight, asking if she had been on too many buffet trips.
She said: "Are you calling me fat? You've noticed my tummy haven't you?"

"Yes I am," Driver revealed, beaming with delight.
Driver also explained that even though she was enjoying pregnancy, she could do without the morning sickness.

She said: "I don't know why they call it morning sickness. I am sick morning, noon and night. But it's a fair trade off."
However, she has yet to publicly acknowledge the relationship.
In the past, she has been romantically linked with several Hollywood names, including John Cusack, Criss Angel and Matt Damon.
In 2001 she was engaged to 'No Country For Old Men' star Josh Brolin, but they later split.
The actress is currently enjoying success in the States in 'The Riches' opposite Eddie Izzard, and was recently rewarded with both a Golden Globe nomination and Emmy nomination.

Firstly, I don't think anyone really cares who the father is of this has-been actresses baby.
Secondly, I am more surprised that someone wanted to interview her.
What is she famous for? That's right, a movie from 1990 and a failed singing career!
