Half of Hollywood turned out to celebrate Eva Longoria's 33rd birthday at her new restaurant Beso in Los Angeles last night - but husband Tony Parker was nowhere to be seen.

Smiley Eva looked overjoyed at the turn out for her special day, which included Desperate Housewives co-stars Marcia Cross and Dana Delaney.

Hold up: Birthday girl Eva Longoria appears to be having some trouble keeping her dress in place as she arrived for her 33rd birthday celebration at restaurant Beso in Los Angeles last night

Just good friends: Eva's pals, singer Sheryl Crow and Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross, showed up to wish their friend a happy birthday

A source said: "Eva's actual birthday is on Saturday, so hopefully the rest of her co-stars will make up for it then."

But there was one person missing who she would no doubt loved to have been there - her basketball star husband Tony Parker who unfortunately spent last night on the losing end of a game with the New Orleans Hornets.

The popular television star who made her name playing Gabrielle Solis on the US television show looked stunning in a strapless floral print Gucci dress, which she appeared to be having some trouble keeping in place.

Presents for Eva: The Desperate Housewives star was the lucky recipient of flowers and other presents, although husband Tony Parker was not present - he was busy losing a basketball match

However, showbiz pals Mario Lopez, rapper Eve, Ugly Betty star America Ferrera, and her favorite singer - and long-time friend - singer Sheryl Crow were among those who pitched up to wish Mrs Parker a 'Happy Birthday'.

Eva later left with a car full of flowers and presents, and had to wade through a throng of well-wishers - with a little help from her ever-present friend, hairdresser Ken Paves.

Bosom buddies: Eva's birthday celebrations wouldn't be complete without the attendance of her hairdresser pal Ken Paves
