You might have seen tumbleweed on Oxford street this morning as Kate Moss' new Spring collection was launched at Topshop.

Perhaps it was the post St Patrick's Day hangover (or possibly the sudden drop in temperature) but not a soul was seen at the superstore at 6.30am.

Last May crowds snaked the streets through the night and into the early hours in eager anticipation of the supermodel's clothing range.

Hundreds of eager shoppers queued at last year's summer launch - only being allowed to view the clothes in small groups and permitted to try eight items and buy five per person.

But party girl Kate, 34, seems to have been left on the “sale rail” by new models like Agyness Deyn.

Deyn recently toppled Kate Moss's lead in Tatler's best-dressed list as party planners clamour for her and Indie band boyfriend, Josh of The Paddingtons.

This is the fifth season for the Kate Moss range that has enjoyed moderate success in the high street store.

The Spring collection features a proliferation of floaty tea dresses inspired by Kate's own wardrobe.

There's also a Gypsy influence with tasselled waistcoats and embroidered shrugs.

The sexy ex of junkie Pete Doherty flew to Mexico to model the new range which also includes skinny jeans with flattering vertical stripes, hot-pants and a vintage style beaded black dress.
