Paris Hilton has never been shy when it comes to self-promotion, but she could be accused of overdoing it a bit as she left a day spa in Los Angeles.

The heiress-cum-aspiring actress and pop star also fancies herself as a clothing designer. But surely she could find someone else to model her Paris branded top and heavily logo-ed handbag. No doubt coming to a store near you soon.

Then again, maybe not. This gear seems to be aimed directly at the chav market.

Last year, the partying socialite found out that her grandfather had slashed her expected £50million inheritance to just £2.5million.

And it appears she may have plans to make up the shortfall in other ways. As well as her own clothing line, she has launched her own line of hair extensions with company DreamCatchers.

The aspiring actress also makes hundreds of thousands of dollars from product endorsements, and personal appearances.

After news of her grandfather's will became public, Paris responded: "Everything I've done, I've done on my own.

"I make my own money, I don't take anything from my family - I love making my own cash. I'm not doing it for anyone else but me."

According to reports, Paris' grandfather, Barron Hilton, was unhappy with his high-profile granddaughter's behaviour.

In June last year, Hilton she served 22 days in jail after being found guilty of driving with a suspended licence.

Her grandfather's biographer, Jerry Oppenheimer, said: "Barron Hilton was, and is, extremely embarrassed by how the Hilton name has been sullied by Paris."

Meanwhile, Paris, who is dating rocker Benji Madden of group Good Charlotte is set to travel to South Africa, Istanbul, and Prague with her boyfriend while he tours.
