Heather's at it again: Moaning Mills in new GMTV rant... while Paul looks relaxed

After a damning divorce judgment described her as a "fantasist" you could forgive Heather Mills for wanting nothing more to do with the British legal system.

But yesterday Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife, who won a £24.3million divorce settlement this week, vowed to fight for the full court transcripts of their divorce proceedings to be released.

Miss Mills, 40, issued a statement on a breakfast news programme declaring that the entire proceedings should be published 'in the interest of fairness' and that the current available judgement has been used to increase her 'vilification'.

Heather Mills GMTV rant

Rant: Heather's infamous appearance on GMTV last year where she demanded that Sir Paul tell the world that she is 'not a fantasist or a golddigger'

Fighting back: The statement was read out by a voiceover artist on GMTV yesterday morning

She also attacked the media for the way, she claimed, it has 'protected' and 'revered' her ex-husband during the divorce battle.

Meanwhile, Sir Paul is looking noticeably relieved following the divorce settlement.

He looked as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders as he took a stroll in his country home in Peasmarsh, East Sussex.

His demure and relaxed response to the gruelling and arduous court proceedings drew a striking contrast to Heather's rant.

The former model did not make the statement in person.

Instead it was read out on GMTV at 7.20am this morning by a voice-over artist. It read: 'As the record shows, I had no wish for these proceedings to be made public, but releasing them in part is particularly unfair. "It seems an overall tabloid-created perception of my personality is preferred to much detail that I prepared for my case.

"I would suggest in the interests of fairness, it is now in the public interest to reveal the transcripts of the FULL court proceedings.

"As this judgement is now being used to further my vilification, details contained within the transcripts and evidence will paint a far fairer and truthful picture which is surely in the interests of justice."

The mother of four year-old Beatrice claimed that the current published judgement - which revealed that she originally demanded £125million of Sir Paul's fortune - was against her human rights.

She ranted: "Publishing this judgement is against the principle of privacy expected within family courts.

Scathing statement: Heather Mills, pictured at London's High Court on Monday, said that Sir Paul McCartney was 'protected' and 'revered' by the media

Thank God that's over! Sir Paul winds down with a relaxing stroll around his country home in Peasmarsh, East Sussex, yesterday, drawing a striking contrast to Heather's ranting response

"A person has a right to privacy when they enter a family court and this was taken away from me.

"This decision appears to have been taken with disregard for my human right to privacy and that of my daughter.

"It cannot be in her interests that one parent is condemned by the media while the other is 'protected' or even revered.

"With my head held high I am glad to be a strong woman and will use my wealth productively and continue my attempts to make a positive difference in this world."

She concluded: "My strength and determination to move on and continue the work we started years ago is fortified by your support."

A media law expert talking immediately after the release of Heather's statement this morning on GMTV described Miss Mills' fears for the safety of her daughter as "disingenuous".

Media lawyer Ambi Sitham said: "It's not unusual for a judge in his judgement in any type of court proceedings to conclude how he found the witnesses in the proceedings.

"The fact is she underwent rigorous cross-examination - and so did Paul McCartney.

"But the judge found him to be a credible witness and he found Heather to be inconsistent and not to be credible.

"The point with this case is that is was subject to so much speculation over the last 18 months. 'But I think this could draw a line under that speculation."

She questioned Heather's fears for the safety of her daughter Bea in the aftermath of the court proceedings being made public.

She said: "I think that is a slightly disingenuous statement.

"And I think no way a judge would ever release details which would put anyone's safety at risk."

However, Miss Mills' new US attorney Gloria Allred has already suggested she will fight for full transcripts from the court to be published.

Speaking before the judgement was released she said: "It's my preference that everything be kept private because of Heather's daughter.

"However, if it's going to be made public, then everything should be made public, including the complete transcripts from the proceedings. Heather has often been treated unfairly."

Miss Allred, 66, has made a career out of acting for celebrity clients in high-profile settlement cases.

She represented Spice Girl Melanie Brown in her paternity battle with Eddie Murphy over daughter Angel.

In 1993 she took on Michael Jackson and appeared on behalf of 13 year-old Jordy Chandler after he accused the pop star of abuse.

Why would this be I wonder? Could it perchance have anything to do with the fact that you have been branded a fantasist and your lies have been laid out for the world to see?

Oh, here we go again someone not being fair to Heather. She has a pretty damn good life compared to most, she just won a good chunk of change in her divorce settlement, she has a beautiful daughter, a real nice Real Estate portfolio, why does she have to continue to bitch about how unfair her life is. Get on with your charitable causes like you said you were and be quiet for once in your life. No one wants to hear your story...
