Kerry Katona leaves hospital after pregnancy scare

Kerry Katona left hospital last night after recovering from a frightening pregnancy scare.

The Crazy in Love star was admitted to Maccesfield General on Tuesday after a midwife became concerned that she had contracted the potentially fatal condition, pre-eclampsia.

But medics discovered the 27-year-old had water retention and she was released from hospital last night.

Kerry Katona is led home by husband Mark Croft on Thursday evening after a pregnancy scare saw her treated in hospital for two nights

The former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner held husband Mark Croft's hand as she left wearing a comfy jumper, tracksuit trousers and baseball cap.

And although the sweater bore the Ducati emblem of her husband's £12,000 motorbike, which she is said to have gifted him earlier this year, luckily Kerry did not have to ride pillion home.

She has hardly been back to her Cheshire mansion in recent weeks. Katona left rehab just two days before she was admitted to hospital after being treated for bipolar disorder.

The former Atomic Kitten singer has denied allegations that she has continued to use drugs during her pregnancy, but she was pictured smoking.

Homeward bound: Kerry leaves hospital after a pregnancy scare

Filming of the couple's MTV reality series Crazy In Love was suspended when she went into The Priory. She has checked into the insitution three times previously - the first time after separating from first husband Brian McFadden in 2004.

The baby, which is thought to be a boy and due in May, will be her second with Mark Croft and her fourth child.

At the start of her pregnancy, the couple feared Kerry had suffered a miscarriage and was admitted to hospital.
