There was something funny about Ben Stiller last night - and it wasn't his jokes.

The Hollywood star attracted a few curious looks as he unveiled his freshly dyed locks at the LA premiere of The Ruins, a new thriller he executive produced.

The 42-year-old, who was showing definite signs of becoming a silver fox back in 2006, clearly has no intention of greying gracefully, opting instead for a bottled chestnut look.

He was joined at the event by his wife and Zoolander costar Christine Taylor, and the pair later made a dash for Hollywood hotspot Beso.

Meanwhile, Stiller is preparing to produce and possibly star in a film version of the yet-to-be-published graphic novel The Return of King Doug, about a man who must return to the fantasy world he abandoned 30 years earlier.

The star recently finished work on his upcoming comedy Tropic Thunder, which he also directed and produced and is gearing up to shoot Night at the Museum II: Escape from the Smithsonian.
