Former EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy has admitted that keeping her newly trim physique is proving to be nightmare - and she has to work out for two hours daily to keep her Size 8 figure.

The 24 year-old lost 4 stone last year after dropping from a size 12 to an 8 in eight months.

She told Closer magazine: "Maintaining the weight is the toughest bit.

"It's bloody hard work. I'm in the gym every day at 7am doing spinning classes or with my personal trainer, Dee Thresher, who did the work-out DVD with me.

"It can be a nightmare - I'm there for up to two hours a day."

Like many women Miss Cassidy admitted to having tried lots of diets, but once she had achieved her target weight, would pile the pounds back on by returning to her previous bad habits.

Miss Cassidy who is 5ft 4 and weighs 8 stone 1 lb - down from 12 stone - has also been forced to radically alter her eating habits.

She said: "It's all about moderation, but I do love a glass of white wine.

"If I go out and drink a lot one night, I won't drink for the rest of the week as alcohol is full of calories."

She added: "I'm a perfectionist and now I've got the hourglass figure I've always wanted. When I say I'm going to do something I do it.

Miss Cassidy recently told The Mirror: "I'm comfortable with my weight between 8st 8lb and 8st 1lb - it's important to have that extra half-stone leeway, so you don't panic if you put on a few pounds."

She had breast implants three years ago to boost her curves from a 36B to a 36D.

And she admitted: "I love my boob job and wouldn't rule out having more surgery - never say never."

I don't want to be horrible but there's no way she was just a 14 in Eastenders and she is most definitely not a size 8 now - unless she's only about 4" tall which I doubt!

Now she just needs to work on the face.

Why are people so catty - comments about the face etc! I admire her for actually doing it the 'right way' - not resorting to plastic surgery etc, and id say most think that if someone like her can do it, anyone can!

Natalie deserves all the good press she gets on her weight loss dvd.

Keith and James - ugly, nasty & sexist comments from men who are probably hugely insecure about their own appearances - keep them to yourself.

She still looks like a young Bella Emberg.

12 to 8 is definitely not four dress sizes (8,10,12) I think the writers made a big mistake there. But what does she expect if she wants to look that skinny then of course she has to work at it.

Now what are we going to do about that face?

If she holds her tummy in any more in those shots she'll explode.

She's a 'fat bird' and should just deal with it.

Even though Marianne from SW France cannot count I would be 'a dutchman' would be my old nan's adage if Natalie started off at a size 12. When I had occasion to measure myself a size 12 was 34" bust, 24" waist and 36" hips, sorry but I do not think Natalie was that before she lost weight. Like Linda Lusardi on the PO'G show who claims to be a size 8. If you look in all the fashion catalogue junk that plops through your front door clothes start at size 12 and what are the measurements for size 0 with boobs the size that Victoria B has. Just eat sensibly and be glad that you are healthy and alive I say.

I expect she has plenty of time to exercise as she is unemployed.

12 to 8 is not 4 dress sizes...
