She had managed to keep her counsel for three weeks.

But less than a month after being labelled a fantasist in court, an unrepentant Heather Mills went back on to the attack yesterday.

Unable to keep silent any longer, she taunted ex-husband Sir Paul McCartney, claiming he had three girlfriends.

Speaking at length on GMTV, she also boasted about "baptising" the former Beatle's lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, by pouring water over her.

In her first interview since being awarded £24.3million in the divorce settlement, the former model told GMTV host Andrew Castle: "I think he's got three different girlfriends, so I wish all the girls the best of luck."

She added: "Better them than me."

Although she did not name the women she was referring to, few doubted who she had in mind.

Sir Paul, 65, was pictured relaxing on the beach as he holidayed with New York socialite Nancy Shevell in the Caribbean last week.

In recent months, he has been seen on several dates with actress Rosanna Arquette.

He is also understood to have become close to former Olympic horserider Tanya Larrigan.

In a reference to the now infamous Shackleton incident, Miss Mills said she poured a glass of water over the lawyer's head on the final day of the divorce hearing because she "said something under her breath".

An unrepentant Miss Mills, 40, said: "I cleansed and baptised her. I thought she looked fantastic - I thought it did her the world of good."

She said she had been offered "lots of jobs for re-creating looks for women" as a result.

"I have no regrets," she added.

Miss Mills described her divorce battle with Sir Paul - in which she represented herself - as "David versus Goliath".

She said she is "arguing on a daily basis" with the judge Mr Justice Bennett to get the full transcripts of the case released and described the current available court papers as a "one-sided judgment".

She said she wanted she and Sir Paul's four-year-old daughter Beatrice to know "the truth".

The interview was beamed from Las Vegas, where Miss Mills was on a panel of ten judges on Donald Trump's Miss U.S.A beauty contest.

She stayed at the five-star Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, where rooms cost up to £5,000 a night, courtesy of the programme.

She said she planned to increase the amount of time she spends in the U.S. where public opinion towards her is "99 per cent positive - I've always wanted to live here but I've always said that I can't live here because I want to keep my daughter near her father," she added.

"But kids have four or five months' holidays a year. So whenever my daughter's with her dad on holiday, I pop over here and do my charity work."

She then admitted: "People either love me or hate me."

Miss Mills insisted she did not regret representing herself in the divorce case, despite being awarded far less than the £125million court documents revealed she initially demanded.

Heather Mills rant outside High Court March 2008

Ranting again: Heather's interview is in the same vein as her outburst on the steps of the High Court month

She accused the judge of releasing a misleading transcript and said: "I never regret representing myself and the only two things (the judge) said was 'explosive' and 'volatile'.

"I want the transcripts released because I was never once explosive and volatile and he was actually referring to my appearance on your programme [GMTV].

"The other thing he said was 'make-believe' because I'd said we'd lived together before we were married. Most people know we lived together before we married and what he should have said is "I don't believe that" and that's it.

"But we'll get there in the end and the truth always outs in the end and the wheel is turning."

In his judgment last month, Mr Justice Bennett said Miss Mills's evidence was "not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid".

Asked about her present relationship with Sir Paul, Miss Mills said: "I have been gagged with no choice of anything else.

"They can write and put out what they like - but I'm not allowed to discuss him in any way whatsoever.

"I'm fighting to be able to clear my name. I don't need to talk about Paul, I've never wished him any harm or to say anything, but you've seen what I've been through the last few years and I want my daughter to know those things are not true."
