Amy Winehouse smokes a joint in the street... but Novello nominations light up her crazy life
Last updated at 08:59am on 23.04.08Amy Winehouse has long struggled to keep her drug habit under control, but now it appears she's not even attempting to hide it.
The troubled singer - who earlier today was nominated for three prestigious Ivor Novello Awards for songwriting - was smoking what appeared to be a joint as she arrived back at her Camden home after an evening of partying.
Her eyes were blood-shot and she looked dishevelled - a sight unlikely to impress her record company bosses, who reportedly threatened to stop her releasing any new material until she cleans up her act.

Her weight has dropped to the extent that even a belt can't keep her cut-off jeans up and pictured in a taxi, reportedly after visiting husband Blake, Amy looked miserable and exhausted.
Executives at Island Records are likely to be more delighted with the nominations, however, which see two compositions by the singer running for best song - Love Is A Losing Game and You Know I'm No Good.
Her hit Rehab has also been nominated in the best-selling British song category.
Earlier Amy was spotted stepping out with "Good" Blake Wood - clinging to a framed photo of jailed "Bad" Blake Fielder-Civil.
Despite wearing her trademark thick eye-liner and her beehive being very much in tact, the Back to Black singer looked tired and worn as she and her non-incarcerated Blake made a trip to pick up kebabs.
The star had been holed up at producer Mark Ronson's house concentrating on finishing the much-anticipated theme tune to the next Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

Wearing denim cut-off trousers and a shiny gold bomber jacket, the troubled 24-year-old had a raw-looking sore on her arm, which may re-ignite former concerns she is on the brink of another burnout.
She has confessed to self-harming in the past and although she seemed to have turned the corner to ditching her demons earlier this year, the star cut a forlorn, painfully thin figure on her after-hours taxi ride.

It has not been a good week for Winehouse who neglected to visit or send her jailed husband "Bad" Blake Civil-Fielder a birthday card when he turned 26 on Wednesday.
This, along with Amy openly spending time with "Good" Blake, has only strengthened rumours that the couple's relationship is in tatters.
However, clinging onto the picture of her and her husband in happier times, Amy did not appear to be giving up hope on her marriage yet.

"...what appeared to be a joint". So this is an article based on pure conjecture then?
And she isn't an attention seeker - the fact that she appears - ad nauseam - in tabloid papers has nothing to do with her and everything all to do with the media being obsessed with revelling in her breakdown.
