Megan Fox is 'world's sexiest woman'

Kirstie Allsopp has been named on a worldwide poll of the sexiest women, beating Kate Moss who has dropped out of the top 100 altogether.

American actress Megan Fox was named the "sexiest woman in the world" in the FHM poll, which saw nearly 10 million votes cast globally.

The raven-haired Location Location Location presenter made her debut at number 91.

Opera soprano Katherine Jenkins was another debut at 83. The pair beat not only Moss, but former favourites Kylie Minogue and Holly Willoughby.

Moss was number 68 in 2007 and Jennifer Lopez, who also did not make the list, won in 2001 and 2002.

Myleene Klass is notably absent too, having been 67th last year.

Transformers star Fox, 22, flew straight in as a new entry at the top of the list after the biggest - and most surprising FHM poll in history, the magazine said.

Fox knocked last year's winner Jessica Alba, who came second, off the top spot, despite another successful year for the Californian beauty.

The sexiest UK woman for the second year running was Keeley Hazell, who was put in third place.

Movie star Elisha Cuthbert finished fourth on the list, with Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere fifth, completing the top five in the poll.

Cheryl Cole finished in seventh place.

FHM's editor-in-chief Anthony Noguera said: "FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World delivers the original and most famous list of the planet's most beautiful women.

"And this year, after 9.7 million votes from around the world, it's never been more authoritative.

"Megan Fox is a very deserving winner of this year's FHM title.

"From out of nowhere, she's captured the hearts - and fantasies - of British men to capture the No1 slot.

"With such incredible competition, and after just one major film role, that is an amazing achievement.

"But in a year when Kate Moss and even former winner Jennifer Lopez were ousted, nothing could surprise us anymore."

There were 23 new entries this year including Fox, Chelsy Davy and Agyness Deyn.

And 16 re-entries included Victoria Beckham and the Minogue sisters Dannii and Kylie.

In terms of age, 20% of the women in the list were 26.

The youngest woman in the list for the second year running was 18-year-old Emma Watson.

FHM said there were 46 blondes, 52 brunettes and two red heads.

Now in its 14th year, FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll says it is the biggest search of its kind.

The magazine is published in 30 countries around the world.

What a load of rubbish! Stop making women compete for these backward ideas about beauty! The idea that this woman is the most beautiful, as if that matters or has any significance for this woman as a person or any relevance to any other woman! Bring on Hilary!
