She may have looked impressive on the ice, but Dancing on Ice winner Suzanne Shaw looked a little unsteady on her feet as she left the Embassy Club at after 3am last night.

Looking more than a little worse for wear, the blonde ice dance champ had to be escorted to her car by ice dance partner Matt Evers and a group of friends.

Dressed casually in leather jacket, jeans, and a white trilby hat which was tilted as a similarly unsteady angle to the wobbly star.

Letting her hair down: Suzanne Shaw let loose after appearing in the live Dancing On Ice show at Wembley last night, and needed a helping hand after swapping the ice for a night on the tiles

Suzanne, 26, leaned heavily on friends as she exited the club in London's West End following what looked like a raucous night out.

Beaming and laughing, the mother-of-one cut a very unstable dash as she was coralled by her pals who were desperately trying to steer her to a waiting car.

Perhaps it wasn't the partying that caused her wobbles though. Suzanne was unsteady on her feet much earlier in the night.

The reigning champion bashed her ankle and knee during a spectacular spin and collapsed while leaving the ice.

Although she made a good recovery and performed a second routine she lost the night's competition to the 2007 champion, former England rugby player Kyran Bracken.

Following her disappointment, it seems she was keen to let her hair down when she arrived with partner Matt on her arm at 11pm.

However, it appears the 26-year-old mother of one wasn't keen on being seen letting her hair down too much.

When she came out for a cigarette she asked photographers not to take photos because her "mum doesn't know" that she smokes.

Friends in need: It takes several of Suzanne's friends to corral the star towards her waiting car

Last month it was revealed the winner of the ITV series Dancing On Ice will become the 23rd actress to to take the lead role in West End musical Chicago.

Suzanne will play Roxie Hart, the showgirl accused of murder.

She joins a roll call of actresses including Denise Van Outen, Brooke Shields and Bonnie Langford who have played the part.

Shaw, 26, is best known for being a member of Hear'Say, the band formed from winners of reality TV show Popstars. She went on to star in the musical Summer Holiday, where she met Darren Day, with whom she had a tempestuous relationship.

She gave birth to his child in 2004 but Day abandoned her on Mother's Day the following year, famously announcing, "I don't do family."

Since then Shaw has appeared in several reality TV shows, most famously ITV's Dancing On Ice, which she won in spite of suffering a chipped ankle bone.

She also appeared in the last show the late EastEnders star Mike Reid made before he died.

Last year, three celebrities competed to become the real-life baron of Gardenstown, a fishing village on Scotland's north-east coast.

Suzanne took part in the show alongside Mike, and music impresario Malcolm McLaren.
