Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr sets Orlando Bloom's heart racing

Orlando Bloom and his new love, Victoria's Secret lingerie model Miranda Kerr, made their first public appearance together in her native Australia over the weekend.

The pair arrived arm-in-arm for a day at the races in Sydney, where they drew more attention that then action on the track.

It was a case of mixing business with pleasure for Miranda, who was at the event as the face of Australian retailer David Jones.

The 24-year-old wore a long-sleeved black Collette Dinnigan dress, Prada clutch and Yves Saint Laurent heels, while Orlando, 30, looked suitably suave out in a charcoal suit, skinny black tie and Ray-Ban Wayfarers.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, who told fellow racegoers "It's great to be here," was spotted giving his girlfriend a high-five after winning more than £450 on a winning horse.

The two have been dating casually since late last year but it appears the relationship is now getting serious - he even met her parents over dinner at an exclusive harbour side restaurant Catalina a day earlier.

Miranda said: "It was fun ... [but] it wasn't a big deal lunch."

She declined to comment further on their relationship, but has previously called him a "a sweetheart."

The Lord of the Rings star, who split Superman Returns actress Kate Bosworth in 2006, has also been linked to Hollywood bachelorette Jennifer Aniston in recent times.
