Homecoming queen: Britney Spears flies in for pregnant teen sister's baby shower

Britney Spears has flown back to her hometown in Louisianna for the first time in over a year to attend her teen sister's baby shower.

The troubled star was reunited her mother Lynne and pregnant Jamie Lynn, 17, as she arrived at the small party held at the family's gated mansion in Kentwood over the weekend.

Around 30 guests attended the ladies-only celebration, with police keeping guard as paparazzie circled around the house and also in helicopters.

There was no shortage of gifts on offer for the mother-to-be, who had registered for baby gives at Babies "R" Us back in March.

Jamie Lynn, who announced her pregnancy in December on the cover of a weekly magazine, is expected to give birth next month.

Flying visit: it's the first time the troubled star has been home in more than a year

After the shower,Jamie Lynn was driven back to her home in Mississippi with her boyfriend, and the father of her child, Casey Aldridge.

Britney hadn't been back to Kentwood since her aunt's funeral early last year, well before her dramatic hospitalisation and ongoing custody battles over sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

She was joined by her father Jamie while on her travels. He remains in legal control of her affairs until a July 31 hearing.
