Jamie Theakston was spotted strolling around London with his newborn son today and judging by the size of his belly, he gained a little sympathy weight during his wife's pregnancy.

The radio DJ and TV presenter looked more portly than usual as he pounded the pavement with Sophie and their three-week-old son.

But few could blame the 37-year-old for being preoccupied by more importnat matters, and it appears he is taking his new role as doting dad in his stride, barely taking his eyes off his new arrival.

"Jamie is absolutely delighted, thrilled and a bit tired," said colleague Mark Browning at the time.

"He has been really very nervous about it, but he's been able to have fun with it."

The now rotund presenter once attracted a string of famous girlfriends, including model Erin O'Connor and Nip/Tuck actress Joely Richardson.

Jamie – famously photographed in a Mayfair brothel in 2001 – recently revealed that his mother had been nagging him since he was 19 to settle down.

He met Sophie, 34, manager of private members' club Soho House, at the Oscars ceremony two years ago. They married in September last year.
