Mind the age gap: Model Daisy Lowe, 19, pictured for the first time with new man Mark Ronson, 32

Updated 02:13am on 11 May 2008

Model and ingenue Daisy Lowe was seen out with super-producer Mark Ronson for the first time last night, as the couple announced their new coupling on the London social scene.

And maybe mindful of the 13-year age gap between the pair, Daisy, 19, ditched her usual sexy rock chick style for a more sophisticated, glamorous look for the night out with new boyfriend Mark, 32.

The hot new couple partied until 3am, kicking off with Jade Jagger's Belvedere 'Jagger Dagger'launch at Automat in Mayfair - also attended by Jade's Rolling Stone father Sir Mick - before leaving for Notting Hill Arts Club at 11.30pm.

They stayed there until 2am when they headed to Bungalow 8 in Covent Garden before retiring to Mark's hotel, the Andaz in Liverpool Street. Phew!

Beauty before age: Model Daisy Lowe, 19, stepped out with her new boyfriend producer Mark Ronson in London last night, who at 32, is 13 years her senior

Taking her cue from Mark's signature beatnik style - he wore a shiny fitted suit - the sometime Agent Provocateur model wore a coordinating polka dot prom dress, gold sandals with her hair swept up in an Audrey Hepburn style up-do.

She also appears to have taken inspiration from Ronson's closest collaborator, Amy Winehouse, wearing her trademark heavy black eyeliner.

Unfortunately, her look was spoiled at times by the scantily clad friend that accompanied her on the whirlwind night out around London's clubland.

Speculation of a love match reached fever pitch, following reports the pair holidayed in Miami together, with the Ronson then treating Lowe to a holiday at his pad in New York.

Until now, they have remained quiet about the romance and have avoided public appearances.

However, despite their age gap, Mark, the nephew of property tycoon Gerald Ronson, has received the blessing of Daisy's mother Pearl Lowe.

She has said: "When she told me she was with Mark I said, 'Wow, he's cute'. "She just said 'Mummy' in a scolding tone."

And on whether Daisy, should be dating a man 13 years her senior, Pearl said: "I've got no problem with the age gap... he's a gentleman and he's really looking after her. I could imagine them being together in the long term.

"The only thing that could come between them is that they both work really hard."

Mark was formerly engaged to Quincy Jones' daughter, actress and singer Rashida Jones in 2003.

And he dated American artist Cosi Theodoli-Braschi for three years until the couple parted ways in early February 2008.

Daisy has dated William Cameron, the guitarist and singer for indie band Blondelle.

In 2004, a DNA test revealed that her biological father was not her mother's first husband, as she had previously believed, but Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.

A doting godfather to Daisy for 15 years, his reaction to the news, according to claims by Pearl, was to sever all contact with the Lowes, seemingly ploughing his energies into saving his marriage to the American singer Gwen Stefani.

Unfashionable accessory: Unfortunately Daisy's glam look was let down by the scantily-clad friend on her arm

Meanwhile Ronson has been keeping busy working with Amy Winehouse - in between her arrests - on a theme song for the upcoming 007 release, Quantum Of Solace.

The song's placement in the film isn't guaranteed, but Ronson said: "Hopefully it will get used. We're working on it and we'll see happens."

"I'm sure there are loads more really famous people that probably we're competing with, and we don't know about. I'm not sure."

Filmmakers first approached Winehouse, who then brought her favourite collaborator on board.

Ronson's work with Amy - he produced most of Back To Black - has won him three Grammys.

'Producer of the Year' as well as 'Song of the Year' and 'Record of the Year' for Rehab, which he shared with Amy in February.

Are you having a laugh: Daisy finds her scantily clad pal's outfit - and behaviour- rather amusing
