Fiftysomething Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall kicks off her designer shoes... to go barefoot in the city

After the posing and pouting on the red carpet, Kim Cattrall let her hair - and her feet down - at a London restaurant before she hit the after-party for the Sex And The City movie, in London last night.

Playful Kim, 51, was seen sheltering behind co-star Mario Cantone – who plays Charlotte's gay best friend Anthony, as she attempted to creep out of L'atelier Restaurant and headed to the after show party holding her shoes.

Clearly all that posing on the red carpet in her Vivienne Westwood dress and metallic Gucci heels had taken its toll, and she hadn't even made it to the after-party at Old Billingsgate yet.

British-born Kim's red-looking feet appeared to have taken a bit of a battering at the gala screening, and clearly she was in no hurry to put them back on.

And by the time she joined her co-stars, she had swopped the Gucci's for a pair of more sensibly-heeled nude coloured sandals.

But soon Kim recovered and outstayed all of the Sex And The City foursome to stay out last night until 1am.

The girls were treated to an estimated £100,000 after-party at Old Billingsgate Market, where the venue was transformed for the New-York themed party.

A source said: "The night was amazing. As soon as you walked in it looked like a scene out of the movie. The usually bare walls were covered in white fairy lights to imitate a starry night.

"Towards the back of the venue, it was split into two little areas. Both had trees to make it look like a garden."

Guests, including Bionic Woman Michelle Ryan, spent the night sipping champagne and Cosmopolitan cocktails. The source added: "From the start, guests were in for a treat.

"Not only was there a massive dancefloor littered with confetti, but on stage there were male dancers gyrating to tracks such as Amy Winehouse's song Valerie."

The Sugarbabes also performed a live set for the crowd around midnight.

But by then the movie's stars - except Cattrall - had already gone home, leaving the serious partying to guests including Jaime Winstone, Gary Lineker and girlfriend Danielle Bux, and Wags Louise Redknapp and Sheree Murphy.

Earlier at the premiere in London's Leicester Square she said she was delighted to be in London.

"In the four years since the series ended, I have been spending a lot of time with friends and family in Britain and working here. I even have an Oyster card."

Asked if she would be willing to do a sequel, she hinted: "Perhaps".

Kim wasn't the only star suffering wardrobe malfunctions, as co-star Cynthia Nixon's revealing dress left revealed some her intimate beauty secrets.

As she leant forward to exit her car, the plunging neckline of her dress revealed some strategically placed double-sided tape, intended to keep her dress in place.

The cast were joined at the bash by designer and stylist Pat Field, who was also flown to London for the world premiere.

She looked just as kooky as SJP. Field wore an animal print minidress, the same shoes sported by character Carrie Bradshaw in the film, and a Carrie style fur coat. All accessorised with her flaming red hair.
