Seven-months pregnant Nicole Kidman shows off the trimmest of bumps on a shopping spree for baby books.

With two months to go until her baby is born, the 40-year-old actress wore a purple figure-hugging top but still looked slimline.

She and husband Keith Urban – a reformed alcoholic – looked every inch the happy parents-to-be, smiling and holding hands as they swotted up on their unborn baby at a bookshop near their home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Oscar-winner Nicole could be seen reading the 'Week 30' chapter in the book Your Pregnancy Week By Week.

It includes tips on bathing during pregnancy and choosing where to give birth.

The couple confirmed in January that they were expecting their first child together.

Nicole already has two adopted children, Isabella and Connor, from her marriage to Tom Cruise.

Sources close to the couple have suggested that despite her desire for a baby, Nicole was not prepared to have children with country singer Keith, 40, until he was back on track.

And it looks as if after months in rehab last year, he is turning his back on his wild ways. The Grammy Award-winning singer was seen studying pages of the book Pocket Dad.

It contains tips on how to whistle, camping trips, how to unblock a toilet, how to take care of the garden and how to barbecue.

An eyewitness said: "They looked so happy and so cute together. They were both pointing at the books and sharing a laugh about what they were doing. You can tell they are thrilled at being pregnant and loving every minute of it."
