Gwyneth: How I lost my three stone baby bulge

Updated 18:30pm on 19 May 2008

Gwyneth Paltrow shuns her mumsy side as she poses in a sexy black basque for celebrated photographed Mario Sorrenti.

The mother-of-two admits she "has my vices" after shunning her macrobiotic diet when pregnant with her second son Moses, who was born in April 2006.

Paltrow's raunchy appearance continues the star's recent makeover, which has seen her parade red carpets in a variety of high-heels and slinky outfits as she promotes her latest film Iron Man.

Wind in her hair: Gwyneth's racy basque leaves little to the imagination

"I didn't mind the big boobs. But I hated the stomach roll, the back fat and the post-pregnant butt. And it was so hard to get rid of. Especially the final 20lb."

The Oscar winner regained her famously skinny frame by eating "organic, seasonal food that isn't processed".

She said: "I haven't eaten meat for about fifteen years. I eat fish, a little bit of dairy – not much milk – but I love cheese.

"We'll make chocolate chip cookies and eat them, but sugar makes me feel pretty bad. I have coffee and wine. I've got lots of lovely vices."

Despite her initial insistence she didn't want a nanny to care for her children Apple, four; and Moses, two; Paltrow realised she would have to hire someone when she returned to acting.

She explained: "I have an amazing nanny. I didn't have one till Apple was 14 months old, but then, because we were going on tour, we found someone fantastic. She's been with us ever since.

"I was really tired. ... (but) obsessed – madly, deeply in love – with my daughter. I wanted to be with her all day long. I was under a crazy spell.

"I still am, but I've had to adjust to reality more."
