Model Petra Nemcova left little to the imagination when she arrived on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday night and showed Sean Penn what he has been missing.

The Czech beauty, 28, who was once romantically linked to Penn, was at the film festival for the screening of French film - Un Conte De Noel Premiere.

Petra Nemcova gave photographers a real eyeful in her revealing white satin gown

In a stunning white floor length satin gown, which covered very little up top, Petra stole the show at the Palais des Festivals.

The model is in Cannes working with Creative Coalition and will be attending the screening of a documentary about volunteers who went to work in Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami.

Pertra's fiancé, Simon Atlee, was killed when the tsunami struck where they were staying in Khao Lak, Thailand.

However her attendance at the festival could add to head juror Sean Penn's sticky situation this weekend.

As well as as Petra, Penn's former ex-wife Madonna will shortly be arriving at the festival in addition to current wife Robin Wright-Penn.

He and Petra met through their humanitarian efforts and she was his date for this year's Oscar party, before Penn reunited with his wife.

Penn arrived at the screening of Un Conte de Noel (A Christmas Tale) with U2 frontman Bono.

Also on the red carpet was actress Catherine Deneuve, 64, who brought with her old school glamour and grace.

She stars in the film, by director Arnaud Desplechin, which tells the story of a family brought together one Christmas to try to overcome the sibling rivalries that have fractured their relationships.

The film has already attracted very favourable advance notices in the French media and there was a gushing series of questions for director and stars including Deneuve at the post-screening news conference.

Israeli model and TV presenter Hofit Golan also made an appearance in a beautiful gown - improving on last year's appearance when her dress suffered a malfunction as it revealed a little more than it should on top.
