Madonna performs on Radio 1¿s Big Weekend

Fever — The Music Of  Miss Peggy Lee (BBC4 Tonight 9pm) Peggy Lee wasn’t the easiest person to work with, such were her perfectionist demands.

But she sang jazz like no other. Quincy Jones, Andy Williams, kd lang and Nancy Sinatra pay homage in this documentary as part of an evening dedicated to the music used in the superb Mad Men drama series set in the Sixties.

Madonna at Radio 1’s Big Weekend (BBC1 Tuesday 10.35pm) If you don’t fancy wading through Radio 1’s Big Weekend line-up and saturation coverage, this is a handy digest of the main event, including Madonna’s performance from Mote Park, Maidstone.

The Classical Brit Awards (ITV1 Thursday 10.35pm) The night of glittering divas and warbling tenors comes to the Albert Hall for the Classical Brits (bizarrely, transmitted a week after the event) which this year honours Andrew Lloyd Webber and includesperformances from Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, and is presented byMyleene Klass.

As ever, Madonna manages to be suggestive and provocative with the title of her Sticky & Sweet world tour, which kicks off at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, on August 23 and arrives at Wembley

Stadium on September 11. Tickets for Cardiff, ranging from £55-£150, and Wembley, £65-£160, go on sale next Friday, May 16, from: www.livenation.co.uk, 0844 576 5483. You have been warned.
