Back in London after a luxury trip to Cannes, Lily Allen has wasted no time filling up her social schedule.

The singer was spotted enjoying an intimate lunch with her former boyfriend, Chemical Brothers star Ed Simmons, at dimly lit London restaurant yesterday.

The pair were clearly enjoying each other's company, giggling together as the struggled to eat their meal with sets of chop sticks.

Their short-lived romance ended earlier this year after Lily suffered a miscarriage, but now it appears a reconciliation could be on the cards.

The 23-year-old Smile singer followed up her lunch date with a catch-up with uber producer Mark Ronson.

They’re often spotted together at London’s hottest nightclubs, but they swapped partying for an afternoon of domestic chores.

The duo looked more like an old married couple than pop stars as they emerged from their local Tescos with a trolley full of groceries.

Lily covered up in grubby pair of jogging pants and cardigan and even Mark was dressed down – by his standards at least – abandoning his trademark black skinny tie for an open collar and scarf combo.

Together they picked up a few essentials, including three bottles of wine and a token cucumber, but the singer left her producer companion to wheel the load through the car park to their vehicle.

But it was all hands on deck as keen Lily helped him pack the shopping into her BMW, lifting a heavy a box of refreshments. Then it was on to Blockbusters to rent a movie, with Mark’s model girlfriend Daisy Lowe, who is eleven years his junior, nowhere in sight.

Meanwhile, Lily is putting the finishing touches on her highly anticipated second album.

 The recording process, she has said, was "going really, really well".

"I'm really, really happy. I'm really excited about it."
