A once curvy Christina Ricci, 28, appears to be thinner than ever when she was seen out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday.

With hair scraped back and skin free of make-up, the actress who rose to fame as cherubic Wednesday Addams looked tinier than ever in jeans and a cropped t-shirt after she left a tanning salon in Beverly Hills.

Thinner: Christina, pictured left at a party in Cannes this week, looks thinner than ever compared with the picture of her, right, taken in 2003

But her tanned looking skin failed to hide her tiny frame, as her jeans hung off her small hips.

The Hollywood star has been frank about her previous battle with an eating disorder.

But said that falling in love finally helped her to conquer anorexia.

She has said: "My anorexia had a huge amount to do with the fact that I'd developed this body and yet wasn't ready to be a sexual being.

"I didn't want it.

"I wanted to be a child because all of my success - all of the good things I valued - had come when I was a kid."

But she admitted that she found the pressure on Hollywood actresses to be thin great.

At her worst she was cutting out carbohydrates and running six miles a day until her weight dropped to seven stone.

Meanwhile Christina's acting career continues to go from strength to strength.

And earlier joined most of Hollywood at jeweller Chopard's party in Cannes.

She recently provided the voiceover for CGI film Speed Racer.

And is set to star in the drama 'Long Time Gone' alongside Angelica Huston and  Poseidon star Josh Lucas.

She will play a mysterious woman who enters the life of a dysfunctional family and turns it upside down, one member at a time.
