Liz Hurley shows off her bikinis and Lewis Hamilton walks the catwalk as fashion and Grand Prix unite

Updated 16:12pm on 24 May 2008

Bikinis met race cars as Liz Hurley showed off her barely-there swimwear collection and British F1 stars - including Lewis Hamilton - strode down the catwalk in Monaco yesterday.

The actress, clad in yet another daringly low-cut sky blue dress, and with husband Arun Nayer on her arm, released her bikini collection to the world at the upmarket show.

Hurley was given the royal seal of approval yesterday as she showed her bikini designs to Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Proving Cannes wasn't the only glamorous place on the French Riviera this week, Hurley and a host of celebrity friends joined the monarch for a fashion show.

The actress dazzled crowds with her dress

She had the prime location sitting in the front row beside the leader of the principality.

The Austin Powers actress showed off an impressive cleavage in her plunging Azure gown, which clung in all the right places around Hurley's shapely figure.

The fashion show provided Hurley with a chance to show off her Elizabeth Hurley Beach collection to Prince Albert, who looked impressed with the series of colourful bikinis.

The Grand Prix and Fashion Unite fashion show at the Amber Lounge at the Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monte Carlo also displayed collections from Bernie Ecclestone's daughter Petra's menswear label.

Among the famous 'models' included British racing drivers Jenson Button, David Coulthard and Lewis Hamilton, Australian Mark Webber, Brazilian Nelson Piquet, Germans Nico Rosberg and Adrian Sutil and Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi.

Watching the drivers-turned-models alongside Hurley, Nayar and the Prince was Formula One head Bernie Ecclestone, Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon, Sir Elton John's partner David Furnish, Naomi Campbell, Italian racing tycoon Flavio Briatore, Jodie Kidd, Kimberly Stewart and Take That singer Gary Barlow.

Wearing killer black platform heels, supermodel Campbell towered over Ecclestone as she bent down to give the racing tycoon a kiss.
