Single girl Kym Marsh's stunning outfit steals the show at Hollyoaks charity bash

Updated 14:15pm on 26 May 2008

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh is fast becoming the social queen of Weatherfield following her recent split from husband Jack Ryder.

The stunning actress was the centre of attention at the Hollyoaks Charity Ball in Chester last night as she turned up in slinky, backless black ensemble.

The 31-year-old mother-of-two, who plays Rovers barmaid Michelle Connor, showed off her extensive tattoo collection in the halterneck pant suit with sequinned collar at the glitzy bash at the Chester Race Course.

Since announcing she was ending her six year marriage to ex-EastEnders actor Jack in March, Kym has thrown herself into the soap social scene.

In a bid to cheer herself up, the ex-Hear'Say singer has regularly been spotted partying with co-stars and Hollyoaks actor in recent weeks.

Kym has denied she is dating again after recent tabloid reports linked her to Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas (Warren Fox) and footballer Lee Sharpe.

The big surprise of the night was the apparent reunion of Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe and Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant.

The couple split in January blaming the pressures of work, but were all over each other last night as they left the ball.

Earlier in the evening, Jennifer - who plays maneater Mercedes McQueen in the Chester-based soap - posed with her on-screen sisters Leah Hackett (Tina) and  Gemma Merna (Carmel).

Hours later, Jennifer looked less demure as she stumbled out of the party with her merry-looking boyfriend, who put on an entertaining show for the cameras.

The couple happily kissed in front of the cameras, before a worse-for-wear Jermaine danced his way back to his car.

Also representing Corrie at the pre-dominantly Hollyoaks cast bash was Kym's co-star Ryan Thomas and his pregnant girlfriend Tina O'Brien - who left the Street earlier this year.
