Nicole Kidman: the palest of them all

Nicole laughed and told me, 'It's total nonsense. It was NOT that kind of a shoot.

'It's madness to think I did that or was even asked to do that. I'm just looking forward to having and caring for our baby', she added in a brief conversation with the Daily Mail.

The actress put an end to reports on internet sites which claimed she had taken all her clothes off and posed showing off her baby bump.

She was speaking to the Daily Mail after paying tribute to the director, actor and producer Sydney Pollack who died on Monday.

Nicole appeared, with then-husband Tom Cruise and Pollack in Stanley Kubrick's film Eyes Wide Shut.

Pollack also directed Nicole in the movie thriller The Interpreter and was a producer on her films The Birthday Girl and Cold Mountain.

Nicole hailed Pollack as a 'true connoisseur of life' adding that he was a 'mentor and a friend'.

Nicole is due to goes before film cameras two months after the expected birth of her baby when she appears with Daniel Day Lewis, Penelope Cruz and Dame Judi Dench in a big screen version of the musical Nine.

The film Nine is due to begin filming in London in the Autumn.
