Her recent erratic behaviour has sparked concerns that she is spiralling out of control but singer Lily Allen took a break from her headline grabbing antics today to visit the hairdressers.

The 23-year-old was pictured popping out of a Notting Hill salon for a sneaky cigarette whilst having her hair done.

Onlookers hoping that Allen was planning to return to her trademark brunette look would have been disappointed to see the star emerge from the salon with her blonde hair in tact.

She has previously admitted that she’s having more fun as a blonde: "I'm loving being blonde. I'm not sure if I'll go back to brunette or not, but I'm definitely having fun as I am and I don't fancy a change right now." She said.

Allen's ex-boyfriend Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons is said to be alarmed by her recent outrageous behaviour.

During a visit to the South of France the Smile star was regularly photographed swimming and sunbathing topless at the Hotel and during her visit on Formula 1 boss Flavio Briatore's yacht.

Lily was a force to be reckoned with on the Cannes party scene and was spotted looking rather worse for wear after attending the post-premiere party for How To Lose Friends And Influence People.

When asked if she was bothered by the paparazzi shots of her naked chest, Lily said: "No, it's my body.

"I heard I was a Page Three girl today."

Simons - who broke up with Allen earlier this year shortly after she suffered a miscarriage with his baby - is said to be extremely concerned about his former love.

A source told Closer magazine: "Ed is worried sick about Lily. When he sees pictures of her blind drunk and clearly unhappy, he wants to look after her.

"Lily has told friends she wants Ed back and, although he still loves her, he's reluctant because of her mood swings, which he found hard to cope with.

"He knows she's always been a party animal, but he wants her to tame her drinking before she loses control."
