Heather Mills celebrates her 24m divorce deal with a sunshine holiday - but still looks glum

Updated 10:26am on 2 Jun 2008

Sipping her drink alone in a deckchair an unkempt Heather Mills looked glum as she sunned herself in Tenerife this week.

Although Miss Mills is now a millionairess in her own right after winning £24.3million in a messy divorce battle - about $34,000 for each day of her marriage to Sir Paul McCartney - she didn't seem to be celebrating.

Unkempt: Heather enjoys the sunshine

It may have something to do with the former Beatle, 65, who has gone public with his glamorous new love  - multi-millionaire heiress and socialite Nancy Shevell.

Just two weeks after Miss Mills and Sir Paul's six-year marriage officially ended he made his first public outing with 47-year-old Miss Shevell on Wednesday. The pair looked happy and relaxed during a ceremony at one of America's top universities where he was awarded an honorary doctorate in music.

In contrast Miss Mills sat alone on her deckchair, listening to her iPod and  checking her emails on her laptop.

In a bitter outburst on GMTV earlier this year when she discovered he was dating she said: 'I think he's got three different girlfriends, so I wish all the girls the best of luck. Better them than me.'

Missing Paul? Heather listens to her iPod as she soaks up the sun.

The former model, who lost her leg in a motorcycle accident, removed her false limb as she settled down, tucking it under her chair.

Miss Mill's daughter with Sir Paul, Beatrice, seemed in sunnier spirits, and got her mum to join in her games.

Sir Paul met Miss Mills, 40, at a charity event in 1999 just a year after Linda died from breast cancer.

Despite his children's serious misgivings about his new beau, he wed the former model in 2002 at the17th century Castle Leslie in County Monaghan, Ireland.

The couple had daughter Beatrice a year later but announced their separation in 2006 initially blaming press intrusion.

So remind me, how much of the divorce settlement has she given to charity?

Seems Paul can't function through life, without a young woman on his side. How sad is that!
