Motherhood appears to be taking its toll on Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross.

The actress, who welcomed twin daughters Eden and Savannah last February, was spotted at an LA salon with huge bags under her eyes.

Polished: Marcia Cross as Bree in Desperate Housewives

Cross – who plays Bree Hodge on the Channel 4 show - looked exhausted as she enjoyed a pampering session which included a pedicure and the massage.

But sleepless nights clearly haven’t put the 46-year-old, who is married to stockbroker Tom Mahoney, off expanding her brood.

She said recently: "I don't think I'll have any more kids, but I'm not 100 percent sure we won't adopt."

Cross has been enjoying some well-earned time off after wrapping the latest series of her hit US show.

The finale, which has already aired in the US, flashes forward five years, offering viewers a glimpse into the future lives of the Wisteria Lane residents.

Next season promises to be eventful for her character Bree, who, says Cross, makes "a big leap."

She's gone out into the world and she's become a bit of a success."
