Kate Moss dropped by Agent Provocateur for younger model

Updated 12:46pm on 2 Jun 2008

Kate Moss has been dropped as the face and body of Agent Provocateur for an up and coming model 14 years younger.

The 34-year-old supermodel has starred in several advertising campaigns for the British lingerie firm since 2006, but is set to be replaced by half-Brazilian, half-British socialite Alice Dellal.

Dellal, 20, shot a trial photo shoot with Agent Provocateur last week, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claims Agent Provocateur co-founders Joseph Corré and Serena Rees have decided to go for a trendier, edgier model following Moss' recent bridal lingerie campaign.

A source said: 'Everyone is stunned. Kate's shots were really well received, but bosses thought it was time to move on.

'They want a fresh new face and think they've found the candidate in Alice.'

Describing her love for the range earlier this year, Moss said: 'I find it's the most sexy lingerie to wear.

'I love their attention to detail and I'm a particular fan of the kicker bum detail.'

Lily Allen was originally hired to take over from Moss earlier this year, but she was ditched after Corré and Rees failed to agree if she was the right girl for the job.

According to a source, Rees chose Lily but Corré 'wasn't keen'.

Dellal is known for her edgy look thanks to her partially shaved head and nose ring.

She has already modelled underwear for lingerie firm Pussy Glamore.

In December, Jerry Hall denied reports her son James Jagger was dating Dellal, insisting they were old friends.

Why on earth did they do that?! Very very stupid move on their part.

Since when does shaving one's head or piercing one's nose give a person more "edges" than the average human being?!

Looks like AP are just replacing one skank with a younger one.

Classy...
