Rumer patrol: Demi Moore's look alike daughter turns heads at MTV Movie Awards

Updated 18:50pm on 2 Jun 2008

Rumer Willis looked every inch her glamorous mother's daughter at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles last night.

The aspiring actress turned heads in a chic black frock as she rubbed shoulders among the A-list crowd, which included Sarah Jessica Parker, Liv Tyler as well as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The 19-year-old is hoping to follow in Demi Moore's footsteps with a big screen career, and is currently on a break from shooting the teen comedy Wild Cherry.

And she's also eyeing off a pop career and is said to be 'in talks' with music executives.

An insider revealed: 'She can definitely hold a good tune - keep in mind her mother, Demi, has a sultry, raspy voice, and father, Bruce, likens himself as being a blues artist.

'With the right production and material, she could put out something solid and already people are talking.'

Rumer insists she's not relying on nepotism to take her to the top.

A-list babies: Rumer rubbed shoulders with actress Liv Tyler, the daughter of Aerosmith's Steve Tyler

She has said: 'I think when people meet me they're shocked, because the idea of celebrity children is that they're trust-fund babies that don't have any desire to work and they're just going to ride their parents' train.

'And in some cases that stereotype has proved right. I would hope that after people meet me, they would give me the benefit of the doubt.

'They're kind of like, "Wow, you're really much more chilled and down-to-earth than I thought you would be".'

Demi Moore has two other daughters from her former marriage to Bruce Willis - Scout 16, and Tallulah, 14.
