Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer in hospital after suffering heart attack in Hawaii

Actor Kelsey Grammer is recovering after suffering a mild heart attack.

According to US reports, he was taken to a hospital in Hawaii on Saturday.

The actor who is best known as playing radio psychiatrist Frasier Crane in the hit U.S shows Cheers and later the spin-off Frasier was said be holidaying with his wife at their home in Hawaii when he experienced the attack.

His publicist released a statement saying that the star was  "Grammer experienced symptoms Saturday morning after paddle boarding with his wife Camille at their Hawaiian home.

He was immediately taken to an area hospital where it was determined that he had a mild heart attack."
