Watch out, Ibiza! The Rooneys have arrived for Wayne's stag do...

Heading for their budget airline flight, they were just another band of mates looking forward to a rowdy all-male booze-up in the sun.

But any similarity between this and the average stag party disappeared when the plane touched down in Ibiza.

For this is Wayne Rooney's farewell to bachelorhood. And during the next few days of revelry on the Spanish party island, the Manchester United star and his guests are expected to run up a bill of at least £250,000.

Despite economising on the flight from Manchester Airport, 22-year-old Rooney is sparing no other expense on his celebrations before marrying live-in girlfriend Coleen McLoughlin.

On landing, the 13-strong group of friends and family headed straight to a sumptuous turreted villa he is renting on a hillside six miles from Ibiza Town.

His father, Wayne senior, 44, and younger brothers, Graham, 20, and John, 17, were among the party, as was Coleen's father, Tony McLoughlin, 49, who will presumably be keeping an eye on his future son-in-law's antics.

Also present were Coleen's brother, Stephen, and uncle, Sean McLoughlin, who is believed to be Rooney's best man for the ceremony on Saturday week at a palatial villa in the Italian resort of Santa Margherita Ligure.

Further guests due to arrive in Ibiza soon include Rooney's United and England team-mate Rio Ferdinand, who is known for his hard partying and love of practical jokes.

Also expected are their Manchester United colleagues Wes Brown and John O'Shea, plus Liverpool footballers Steven Gerrard, Peter Crouch and Jamie Carragher. In case there are any brawls, boxer Ricky Hatton is also expected to be there to sort things out.

A source close to Rooney, who is paid £115,000 a week, said he had told his guests to leave their wallets at home.

'He has budgeted for £10,000 a head. He doesn't want anyone paying for anything. It is excessive, but so is Wayne's wealth and he wants to share it.'

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will no doubt be hoping that Rooney, who displays a volatile temper on the pitch, manages to avoid trouble during visits to the island's countless bars and nightclubs.

But there is apparently already an unofficial prize for the first party member to punch a photographer.

The villa, which officially sleeps 18, has a large pool, outdoor bar and terrace, and a games room in the cellar.

There is a fountain in the entrance hall, plus a white grand piano in case of any impromptu singalongs. A chef and waitresses will be permanently on call.

Not to be outdone, Coleen, 22, is heading to the Canary Islands with friends for her third hen party.

She has already enjoyed a £60,000 'pre-hen trip' with five pals to Miami's exclusive Shore Club hotel, and paid a staggering £50,000 for a lunch, dinner and pampering session at the five-star Lowry Hotel in Manchester for 24 guests.

But the cost of the stag and hen parties pales into insignificance given the eye-watering £5million the couple's nuptials are costing in total.

They have signed a £2.5million contract with a glossy magazine  -  the biggest wedding deal in history  -  but have pledged to donate a substantial part of it to charity.

Final countdown: Wayne and Coleen, pictured here at a concert over the weekend, are set to wed in less than two weeks
