That's amore: Coleen and Wayne's tender kiss on the Italian Riviera as big day draws near

Despite the  stress of organising a wedding, Coleen and Wayne still managed to find time to share a tender moment.

The Italian Riviera proved the perfect setting as Wayne Rooney and his bride-to-be took a break from their busy schedules to lock lips over a romantic meal in a small Italian Cafe in Portofino.

Earlier in the day, Coleen McLoughlin seemed oblivious to her picturesque surroundings, preferring to spend her time on her mobile phone as Wayne lagged behind.

But the happy couple later appeared relaxed and clearly in love as they embraced ahead of their four-day nuptials on Thursday.

The pair were spotted at the Portofino Town Hall today to register for their marriage license as their families boarded a private jet to join them earlier this morning.

The couple, both 22, are to marry on Thursday at a 16thcentury villa on the Italian Riviera.

They have hired a £40million yacht, the Alysia, for three days at a cost of £300,000 and will use it to hold a reception for their 64 wedding guests.

Yesterday, the party flew to Nice, in the South of France, on five private jets, before sailing to Portofino on the Alysia.

With so much planning left to do the future Mrs Rooney can't stay off the phone even if they are in romancing in Italy

Coleen emerged in curlers from her mother's house in Liverpool as she packed bags and cases into a car before leaving to the airport.

It is not her first such public appearance. She says: 'If I go to the hairdresser before a night out, I'll often leave the rollers in and take them out at home.

'I don't care what people think, as long as my hair looks good when I go out.'

Guests are staying at the £700-a-night five star Hotel Splendido while the future Mr and Mrs Rooney will spend their wedding night in the master suite on the yacht.

The footballer and his fiancée have splashed out £50,000 on the three-deck Alysia to follow the ceremony in a 16th century castle overlooking the Italian Rivera on Thursday.

"The main ceremony will be low-key and intimate, so they wanted a spectacular reception and afterparty," a source told the Daily Mirror.

"The yacht is the perfect party venue. It comes with a jacuzzi and helicopter pad.

"The yacht even boasts a baby grand piano which Wayne has joked he'll use to serenade his bride.

"At midnight fireworks will be released and guests will toast the newlyweds with pink champage."

The couple will exchange their vows at the Castello Brown, a 700-year-old former abbey.

The guests will then be transported to the yacht where they will be served a four course meal.

McLoughlin and Rooney's impending nuptials is the most expensive celebrity wedding deal ever to be signed by a glossy magazine.

The couple have signed a £2.5m deal with OK!  and will be matching that figure from their own pockets.

Other costs include £400,000 to book McLoughlin's favourite band, Westlife, to perform on the big day and £200,000 on her dress.

She has even spent £85,000 on trips to New York for dress fittings.

Five private jets will fly 64 guests from the UK to the four-day celebrations, which include a lunch aboard a luxury yacht, a masked ball and champagne breakfast every morning.

McLoughlin has cut some costs in the past week with a budget hen night in Tenerife.

While Rooney spent £250,000 on his four-day stag party in Ibiza, his bride-to-be favoured her aunt's modest flat, enjoying quiet nights in with her group of three friends.

As the footballer's friends and family fly in to the Italian Riviera - with Rooney telling guests "ALL the drinks are on me" - residents and local businesses are starting to realise that the visitors may not be the sort of holidaymakers they are used to.

Roberto Miroli, a shoe salesman, said: "Rooney, he is a wonderful footballer, yes, but we do not want the young men running around drinking here. This is not Ibiza."

One hotel manager said: "Portofino and Santa Margherita are not showy resorts like Capri or Sardinia. They are for discerning holidaymakers.

Celebrities and millionaires come all the time - not to be seen, but to blend in.

So there have been some raised eyebrows over the area hosting Rooney's wedding, particularly as we know footballers' weddings can be very showy and English people like to drink and make a lot of noise."

This part of Liguria is more used to the likes of Madonna and Clooney - both regular visitors to Portofino's Hotel Splendido - as well as Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, who has a villa here.

In the Fifties it was a favourite holiday spot for Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Ava Gardner, while Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor - one of Coleen's idols - called it home for several years.

It doesn't matter how luxurious his wedding is - he will always be a potato head.

Do you think Coleen has picked up some PVC gear to spice up their wedding night? Allegedly Wayne isn't averse to some of that... She better not let her grandma anywhere near it, however.

No I am not jealous of having to wake up to Wayne Rooneys face each morning!
