Old rockers Mick Jagger and Bob Geldof on daddy duty as they take out their young daughters to a reggae play

Updated 00:45am on 11 Jun 2008

Most girls would be mortified if their middle-aged Dad tagged along on a night out.

But when the father in question has sold records by the bucketful, a daughter might just bring herself to admit that he's not completely uncool.

Georgia May Jagger - the 16-year-old daughter of Sir Mick, 64 - cheerfully put up with her father singing along enthusiastically to a reggae musical, The Harder They Come, at a London theatre on Monday.

Daddy cool: Bob Geldof takes his 12-year-old daughter Tiger Lily to get their picture taken backstage with some of the cast of the play The Harder They Come

Meanwhile, 11-year-old Tiger Lily Hutchence - who has lived with Bob Geldof since her mother Paula Yates died - went backstage with the 56-year-old Boomtown Rats singer to meet the cast.

She was even prepared to overlook his slightly odd decision to wear sunglasses indoors.

The original 1972 movie of The Harder They Come starring Jimmy Cliff was a story of sex, violence and drugs so the question remains as to whether it was as good choice of viewing for two young children.

However, the two Sirs appeared to be having a great time as they danced and sang along with their daughters to the Jimmy Cliff songs.

The bonus of having a cool, famous dad not only meant they could get in free but Sir Bob arranged for his daughter to go back stage and meet the cast of the musical.

Tiger Lily even took the chance to get her picture taken with the actresses who were donning massive afros to depict the 70s style that the play is set in.

Two of a kind: Mick Jagger hangs out with his equally pouty daughter Georgia as they enjoy the play in the packed theatre

The Rolling Stones frontman and his daughter Georgia bore a striking resemblance to one another as the teenager appeared to have developed his famous pout.

Geldof became Tiger Lily's legal guardian after her mother died, believing it was best that she grew up with her half sisters Fifi, Peaches and Pixie.
