Tara Palmer Tomkinson made a less than fragrant appearance at a Chanel store opening in London, when she lifted up her arms to reveal her enormously sweaty armpits.

The former I’m A Celebrity contestant seemed oblivious to her eye-catching damp patches as she smiled happily and posed in front of photographers in an all-white outfit paired with tan Yves Saint Laurent platforms and huge sunglasses.

The armpit flash was a rare slip for the usually perfectly groomed socialite who has been keeping a low profile on the party scene in recent months.

The 37-year-old fittingly wore Chanel for the event in Dover Street. She recently praised the label and spoke of her love of designer clothes:

"I have nothing against the high street - River Island and Topshop have great clothes - but the stores are always so crowded that I find difficult to shop.

"I'm most definitely a designer girl.

"I can still remember buying my first Chanel suit when I was 20 - every girl should have one!

"I must have spent about £10,000 by the time I'd bought a matching bag and shoes.

"But even though I spend a lot on clothes, I consider designer pieces to be investments because they really do last forever," she said.
