Eugenie plays gooseberry to lovestruck big sister Beatrice

Updated 10:20am on 16 Jun 2008

Princess Eugenie today made her first public appearance since she hit the headlines for frolicking naked in her school's grounds.

And the 18-year-old found herself in another tricky situation as she negotiated the Queen's Cup at Windsor with her loved-up sister Princess Beatrice, who was otherwise distracted by her boyfriend Dave Clark.

With no male companion of her own, Eugenie was forced to grin and bear it as the threesome made their way around the prestigious polo tournament.

Last week, Eugenie was reprimanded by her public school after she was involved in 'high jinks' towards the end of her school term.

The A-level student, who attends Marlborough College in Wiltshire, was caught cavorting naked in the grounds, it was claimed.

The Sun newspaper reported that a senior staff member was woken by playful shrieks and found about a dozen young women dancing around without any clothes on.

It said there was no suggestion boys were present or that drugs were involved, but claimed that a pupil said the incident came after the students had been drinking.

The young royal is sixth in line to the throne and is sitting exams in art, history of art and English at the £23,000-a-year college.
