Has Hollywood hellraiser Colin Farrell finally been tamed?

The Irish actor fuelled reports he has married his girlfriend Muireann McDonnell, 23, after he was spotted showing off a ring on his wedding finger.

The 32-year-old has been dating medical student McDonnell since December 2006 after meeting in Dublin.

Spotted at Los Angeles' LAX airport earlier this week, a long-haired Farrell was photographed with a gold band on his wedding finger after flying in from Miami, Florida.

Last year, he publicly declared his love for McDonnell, describing her as 'the one'.

He said: 'I met her in Dublin while I was home from L.A.

'She's a great girl, we're really happy. It's easy to find girls, but it's not easy to find the right one.'

Just a few years ago, the Alexander star, 32, had a reputation for hard-partying and his love of women.

After arriving in Hollywood following the success of war drama Tigerland in 2000, Farrell quickly established himself as a leading man with roles in Minority Report, Daredevil, The New World and Phone Booth.

He was romantically linked to a string of famous women, including Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Rosario Dawson and Playboy model Nicole Narain.

In 2003, Farrell became a father to son James following a brief relationship with model Kim Bordenave.

His bad behaviour came to an end in 2005 when he checked into rehab.

Since finding sobriety, Farrell has kept a low-profile and shunned Hollywood beauties for a relationship with down-to-earth university student McDonnell.
