The Apprentice loser Alex Wotherspoon is turning his back on the business world for a chance on the catwalk.

After being fired by Sir Alan Sugar, the 25-year-old Lancashire lad has now been hired by Models 1, one of Europe's biggest modelling agencies.

Regional sales manager Alex came in joint third place with Helene Speight in the finale of the BBC show earlier this month.

During his 12 weeks on the show, Alex gained a lot of publicity for his handsome looks and decide to capitalise on his chiselled jaw after being fired.

Ahead of any modelling jobs he hopes to land, Alex showed off his modelling prowess in a series of classic catalogue poses for the latest issue of Heat magazine.

He explained: 'I didn’t get the job, so I thought I might as well use what I’ve got.

'So yesterday I went to see Models One, one of the top modelling agencies in London.

'I saw the head of the men’s division, and it was brilliant! I was sat in reception with all these good-looking guys going past me and I was like, “S***”. They were pretty amazing looking.

'They’re putting out the feelers with Thomas Pink, Paul Smith and M&S.

'They said that I’m a bit taller than your usual model, but because I have the profile they’re interested in me.

'I’m definitely going down that route now.'

Alex reveals he has set his sights on even bigger brands then M&S - Italian designer Armani - after seeing football star David Beckham in the risque underwear ads.

Despite being happy to expose his physique - if the price was right - Alex admits he would need to spend a bit more time in the gym first.

He said: 'I’d get my pants off, but only if they money was right.

'I’d probably do topless for £10,000…If it’s good enough for David Beckham eh?

'I do need to buff up a bit first, though. I’ve been going to the gym quite a bit – I have a personal trainer.

'You know Brad Pitt ‘s look in Fight Club? That’s what I want to look like.'
